Glass Test Tubes with Round Bottom

Different glass test tubes have other functions. The glass test tubes with the round bottom are the most widely used among all the glass test tubes.

General Application of the round bottom glass test tube:

1. Used as a container for taking sample liquid or solid reagents.
2. Used as a container for heating a small amount of solid or liquid.
3. Used as a reactor for a small amount of gas.
4. Used as a collector for a small amount of gas.
5. Used as a solute that dissolves a small amount of gas, liquid, or solid.
6. It Can also be used as a container when centrifuging.
7. Used as a reaction container for small reagents at room temperature or by heating.

Why shall we choose round bottom glass test tubes?

The shape of the glass test tube bottom can be divided into the round bottom and flat bottom tubes.

1. The internal stress distribution caused by glass heating is also different because the bottom shape is different. The internal stress distribution of the round bottom is the most uniform, and the test tube will not crack or deform after being heated, followed by the sharp one. Although the flat bottom is upright and convenient, it is easy to crack after being heated, so the round bottom test tube is the most widely used. The use of high borosilicate round bottom glass can withstand higher temperatures and is not accessible to damage and can be used repeatedly.
2. The tube with round bottom is easy to clean with a tube brush.
3. The round bottom test tube can more clearly observe the sediment or crystal. In some experiments, it is an ideal choice.
