Why do lamp wicks always get black?
Containing man-made fiber is the main cause of blackening. Man-made fiber blackens immediately if meets with fire.
Pure cotton can absorb alcohol and preferentially burn alcohol when burning, so it has longer service life and is not easy to blacken.
Usage suggestion: it is recommended to use more than 95% alcohol as fuel. If the alcohol concentration is too low, it will not be easy to burn or extinguish after ignition, and the wick is easy to get black,and will also affect the service life of the wick.
