There are 3 kinds of burettes: Acid burette,Alkaline burette PTFE burette.
There is a glass piston at the lower end of the acid burette, which can be filled with acidic or oxidizing titrant, but not alkaline titrant, because the alkaline titrant can bond the piston with the piston sleeve and is difficult to rotate.
The Alkaline burette is used to hold alkaline solution. Its lower end is connected with a rubber tube. Glass beads are placed in the rubber tube to control the outflow of solution. The lower end of the rubber tube is connected with a pointed glass tube. Any solution that can react with the rubber tube, such as potassium permanganate, iodine and other solutions, cannot be put into the basic burette.
PTFE burette is a kind of general burette, which can put acidic solution or alkaline solution.
